This reform affects the southern space between the two supporting walls of a house after its main façade, which looks into a garden, was turned into a party-wall. It was therefore necessary to improve the distribution of the spaces and the entrance of natural light.

This new distribution allows the room which looks into the street to absorb the rooms blinded by the party-wall. This generous space keeps its central part empty while around its perimeter there are areas designed for the different activities of the house; an area for the dining table next to the kitchen window, a desk at an intimate corner of the room, some space for the fireplace with a bench and an area to store the firewood, an finally an area next to the biggest window with a windowsill which can work as a seat. The ceiling also reflects these different characterized areas of the room.

The entrance of light is also added to the main objective. The light coming from the kitchen through some wavy glass works as the backdrop; the light which comes from the windows that look into the street focuses on the fireplace and the window; while the light coming from above softens the contrast with the area which is most exposed to the sun, thus improving the quality of the darkest area.
